HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Dell turned 6 today and I just can't believe what a big boy he has become. Six years ago today he made me a Mom and what an incredible journey he started us on. He was such a wonderful baby and has grown into a loving, caring awesome big brother to his little sister and he is so great with his baby brother. Always ready to show him how to build block, and drive cars or pick him up to move him out of the way or keep him from going where he shouldn't. He favorite thing to do is go outside, ride his bike and play. He takes Ellie with him just about everywhere he goes and they really are great little friends.
He's had a quiet but fun day, he woke up and watched cartoons with Ellie and Grammy then he opened his presents, and then it was time for breakfast. Grammy made his favorite Sausage, egg, potato's and toast. We went to Spoon Me a great little yogurt and smoothie shop and he got a smoothie for a treat and then off to the store to get a few things for dinner and he wanted to use his gift card from his Great Grandma Carter. He got a fun remote control Hummer that he drove around the house all evening. Spaghetti with sweet sausage was his dinner of choice, and cake is going to wait for Saturday when he and Mason have a Birthday party with all of his friends. Here are a few pictures of his day. We pooled his birthday money to get him a digital camera because he loves to take pictures. He would take my old cell phone and walk around taking pictures until the battery would die and then he's plug it in charge it and do it all over so we knew he would really enjoy it and so far that has proven true. He took it to the store with us so he could document every thing he did.

11 Months a litle late

Mason was 11 months on the 28th and will be a year in just a few short weeks it is amazing how fast this last year has gone. He has really started to slow down in the growing department only add a half a pound or so and 1/4inch in height. He can no go from sitting to standing without holding onto anything and he thinks that's pretty cool he gets a huge smile on his face every time he does it. He has finally gotten his top teeth and he's working on another that should come in any day now. He will eat just about anything you give him but he really likes pancakes, eggs and bananas. He is still very much a Mama's boy but all he says is dada dada dada and it seems to be universal for both JD and I. He is the sweetest boy. We are going to have a Birthday party for both boys on the 27th which should be a lot of fun.

Home

After 3 weeks of vacation with family and friends we have made it home. It was a great trip and we had a great time hanging out with friends that haven't been seen in years along with playing with cousins at Grandma and Papa's house. It was a crazy time with 5-6 adults and 6 kids under 6 but we made it through. Christmas Eve we took the kids over to my Grandma's house and it was so great to see her and Mason fell asleep in her arms it was the most precious sight. I'm glad she had her camera because I forgot mine. I have to say I wasn't very good with taking pictures on the trip but I do have some of the kids making snow men in the front yard at grandma and papa's house and then my sister in law along with her kids and our family we went down to the Phoenix children's science museum. It was fun but the things there were a little more advanced than our kids could understand now but they still had fun.

9 Months

Our little man is not so little anymore he's 9 months now It's just amazing to me how fast they grow. He wears 12 month clothes we a few things in the 18 months sizing he is a big boy. He's going to out grow Ellie soon if he keeps up this pace he's a little over 23 lbs and 29 inches. He crawls everywhere and with the wood floors it's really funny to watch him when he's excited or mad because he slaps the floor as he crawls. He pulls up to stand all the time now and is standing by himself for a few seconds here and there before he hits the floor.

I was trying to get a nice picture of the kids the other day, but Ellie insisted it was too cold to participate so here is a cute one I got of the boys.

Nativity

When Bella moved to N.M she gave us a beautiful old Nativity that her mother painted. We set it up this week and we just love it. We're not doing a lot of decorating this year as I'm sure Mason would try to pull it over and take all the ornaments off and we're going to be in AZ for Christmas.

Lessons Learned and Thanksgiving

On our way to St. George for Thanksgiving we stopped in South Salt Lake to pick up a car that Mom and Dad bought to take it down to save them a trip up North. It ended up needing a new battery so we went over to the tire place and waited for the new one to be delivered. Dell went in with Daddy and started playing and swinging on the arms of the chairs well on one of his back swings the chair gave a little wiggle and down Dell went face first flat on the floor. He came out crying and ended up with a HUGE fat lip a bit if a red spot on his forehead and a little bloody nose. Needless to say I think he's learned his lesson about swinging on chairs.

We had a nice Thanksgiving with friends. I didn't really take any pictures other that the one of Mason enjoy the Blueberry cheese cake. He ate some stuffing, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes and he enjoyed all of it. I did do a little black Friday shopping but I didn't go out super early. I was able to get each of the kids $3 PJ's and a coat, sweatshirt and Lego Blocks for Mason for under $35 I didn't think that was to bad at all and really there wasn't to many people.
