Tackle it Today

JD and I started a rather big yard project today and I have to say we got quite a bit accomplished. We will try and finish up tomorrow in the back yard and then move to the front, Check out our progress:

We were pleasantly surprised to find all that grass under all of that tumbleweed and thorn.

Eater Egg Hunt

I have to say that we are enjoying the small town living. This morning we took the kids over to the City building where they were holding an Easter Egg hunt for kids 12 and under. As we drove down the road you could see the stream of cars all going to the same place. We got out of the car and walked over to the field and there were eggs everywhere. So much for the hunt, but the each came back with a dozen or so eggs and they were happy it was fun to watch all the little kids scurry around trying to get to the eggs first.

Moved

I am happy to report that we are now in our new home and we LOVE IT. We unpacked with lightning speed wanting to be settled and I have to say we've done a good job. Ellie's room is put together to her liking although I may change a it a little bit in the weeks to come and Dell is enjoying sharing a room with his brother instead of his sister. The kids rooms are on the small side so they have filled them up quickly. I am in love with my new kitchen it is so great to be cooking on a gas stove again, and the counter space is amazing. We also have a huge pantry which is wonderful. We have a new living room furniture on order and it will be coming in a few weeks I hope it's a red couch with a chaise on one side and a storage coffee table in chocolate brown and we bought some really awesome fabric with red, orange and green flowers in it to tie them together. We are at the end of the block and really don't have too much traffic coming through and lots of side walk for the kids to play on along with a big driveway they are happy. Now if the wind would stop blowing and the forecast wasn't calling for a storm they would be out playing all day.

Kiddo's

Mason got to have a few new 1st this week other than walking. He had his first peanut butter and jelly sandwich which he devoured and had it all over him, and his first popsicle he loved it although you could see the surprise on his face when he realized it was cold.

I took the kids to the park and Dell got to ride his skateboard he has so much fun on it but he already scared me with the things he does or is trying to do. And Ellie was watching to make sure he didn't hurt himself.

Thank You

Dell has written out a few thank you notes for his birthday and I'm still trying to get them in the mail, but I wanted to share with you one of them as it has taken me this long and I'm not sure how many more I can convince him to write so take this as a Thank You to all of you who made his birthday special. We love you.

Moving

We have been contemplating a move for quite a while and have looked in many different areas from Utah to Arizona and have found an amazing house in southern Utah and we are very excited to get moved. It's a newer home on just under a half an acre so the kids will have lots and lots of room to run and play, and if JD has his way a big shop. Our moving date is approaching quickly and it is a crazy mess around here. I have been painting things back to their original neutral colors, and packing boxes all while trying to clean and keep the kids occupied. This has been quite the task this week as I am painting the play room which means the kids have to be upstairs so they don't get into the paint or breathe the nasty paint. We are really happy about this move it's a small community of about 3500 people with a great school system and from everything we've seen and heard a really great neighborhood filled with other kids to play with. We are close to another larger town that has a college and they have a large Shakespeare festival there every summer which sounds like a lot of fun. I'll post more after we've moved and had some time to settle in.

Picture Galore

My little sister keeps telling me she wants more pictures so this one's for her.
