School Days

The big kids have gone back to school. Dell is in his 2nd full week and Ellie is in her first half week. So far so good, she likes it, is having fun as well as making friends and participating. Dell is doing great already, he was ready to go back. Here are the first day pictures.

Next month is going to be a busy one, as we're going to CO for a family friends wedding as well as a 10 year class reunion. Then we head home to a family reunion with all of JD's siblings and their families. We're going to be way out numbered 6 parents, 1 Grandma, and 12 grandkids, but it will be fun.
Ellie wanted some hair bows for school so I made her a few they turned out cute and I'm sure I'll be making more as the year goes on. Mason enjoys wearing them he's such a goofy boy.

Little Boys

The little boys have spent a lot of the summer inside as Z is to little to go out really, and Mason can only go out with adult supervision because the big kids take off and leave him in the dust. So they play inside Z is now sitting and trying really hard to crawl although he can get where ever he want to go with the army crawl he's got going. He's a sweet boy and Mason loves to hold and play with him. I think they're going to be great buds as they grow up.

Summer

Summer has come and now gone with the big kids going back to school. They had a great summer, lots of swimming, friends, cousins, and riding bikes all over the neighborhood.

4 months

I know he's almost 5 months but here are the little guys stats from 4 months. He weighed in at 14lbs and is 24 1/2 inches long. He is a great little guy although he's been a bit cranky and drooling like a faucet, I link he's trying to work on some teeth. He rolls like a pro and will roll himself in circles almost with his feet staying in one area and the rest of him moving around.

He also loves his toes

Here is a sweet video I took of Mason yesterday.

Dell is playing Coach Pitch this year and he's really enjoyed it. He still hasn't quite got the hang of what's suppose to happen or why he's suppose to do certain things (ie stand on the inside of 3rd base on outside the 3rd base line). When he hit the ball his first time up last week he hit his coach right in the gut and he and the coach though it was funny, and he earned himself an ice cream in doing so. Coach told them if anyone hit them they'd get a free ice cream and he didn't forget.

Horses

JD's parents have made the move from AZ to UT and are living about 20 minutes from us. They found a great place on 5 acres and about half of that is fenced corrals so when Dell's best buddy from school said they were selling their horses forced by a move out of state JD couldn't resist. We got a great deal on 2 mares. Dinah is a 7yr old Tennessee Walker/Thoroughbred that is just over 16 hands, she's a big girl but super gentle. Star is  5yr old papered Quarter horse and she's about 15 hands. She is considered green broke but JD has been able to saddle her and go for a ride, but she's not quite sure what she's suppose to do. JD's been doing a lot of ground training with her and we've started calling her a pocket pony because she will follow you around with her nose at our pockets or her head at sitting on our shoulder. The boys love the horses. Dell will sit on the side of the round pen and watch JD work with the horses for hours, and Mason says "go see Dinah, Star please" and then he'll ask to sit on her depending on which horse it out at the time. Ellie doesn't really care one way or the other she likes to see them, but doesn't enjoy watching them like the boys.

Ride a Bike

Miss Ellie has graduated from training wheels to the 2 wheeler. It took her a little while to get it, she was struggling with steering and peddling at the same time. If she peddled she'd crash because she wasn't watching where she was going or she's quit peddling and steer then she'd fall over because she wasn't moving. She's got it down now and loves to go out and ride.

Preschool

Ellie had a great year at preschool. She had an end of year program below are pictures from through out the year as well as a few from the program. She is very excited about starting Kindergarten this fall.
